Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and delivering the recruitment efforts for the Company. The position oversees the entire recruiting cycle and works directly with hiring managers with minimal supervision. Responsible for screening resumes and possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques to identify qualified candidates. A good knowledge of all technical functions in the Company in order to partner with hiring managers. Apply basic understanding of the Company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure to assist and advise with recruiting and hiring decisions. Be well informed, communicate, and adhere to federal and state laws regarding employment practices. Monitor and apply Human Resources (HR) recruiting best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with the HR Generalist and HR Manager, department managers, and employees to develop and update job descriptions to accurately document the duties, competencies, and requirements for individual roles.
- Responsible for maintaining job descriptions to support recruiting efforts and the Company’s needs.
- Ensure all positions are compliant with FLSA regulations.
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and create a recruiting plan for each position.
- Responsible for full-cycle recruiting including identifying candidates, screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates for placement.
- Use traditional and non-traditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, LinkedIn Recruiter license, social media, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Screen and source candidate resumes and job applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Perform in-person and phone interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/ methods to filter candidates within demanding timelines.
- Provide feedback and make recommendations to the hiring managers on the applicants to interview and move forward with the selection process.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with the hiring managers. Provide good customer service, communicate, and follow up on the interview process status with hiring managers and candidates.
- Maintain professional relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure a pipeline of suitable candidates and staffing goals are achieved.
- Manage and maintain the application/resume files and retention, according to state and federal requirements.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a good understanding of the technical functions within the Company. Stay current on the Company's organization structure, policies, procedures, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
- Develop and conduct training programs for hiring managers on the recruiting process, with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Licensure
- Associates Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on, recruiting experience in identifying, screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Demonstrated experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, or equivalent certification.
- ADP Workforce Now experience.
- LinkedIn Recruiter license experience.
Required Core Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Adept at understanding how and where to locate candidates including both traditional (job boards, online) and non –traditional resources (career fairs, community networking, social media).
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook calendar.
- Able to maintain high level of confidentiality and discernment.
- Ability to work independently and strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage time, and handle simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization.

- Functional knowledge of interviewing techniques with ability to conduct different types of interviews, including but not limited to, structured competency-based, behavior based, etc.
- Ability to effectively conduct various selection processes, such as, sourcing and attracting candidates, phone interviewing, reference checks, etc.
