E Ink’s Quality Team is looking for a Senior Product Quality Engineer. Responsibilities include: data collection, statistical analysis and reporting, troubleshooting issues, auditing processes, defining new processes and leading and participating on project teams. The successful candidate has a demonstrated track record working as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing or technology environment, and is adept at taking on multiple roles and responsibilities to meet the changing business needs and project timelines. They will be able to drive the importance of quality processes among peers, superiors and subordinates. Location: Position is located in E Ink’s site in Billerica, MA; there will be regular travel to E Ink’s manufacturing site in South Hadley, MA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure control plans are in place for all Customer Corrective Action Requests (CCAR) resolutions • Act as quality technical lead on all relevant projects • Create and/or improve business processes as gaps are discovered, acting as the voice of quality at the plant location • Manage quality release of incoming materials and help to communicate and track quality release status of all finished product on site • Participate in all relevant team meetings with particular emphasis on RCA, Action Plan Implementation, FMEA’s, DOEs, Design Reviews, Specification setting, etc. • Lead cross functional teams for such thrusts as product improvement, yield improvement and resolution of Customer issues. Drive continuous improvements for product lines • Keep all critical information on the product or platform up-to-date as new learning is acquired. Own and update all relevant QFD and FMEA’s for the product line • Oversee QC test instrument systems including calibration, Gage R&R and test procedures • Work with test method development personnel to make sure tests are transferred smoothly to operations • Act as technical expert for all Final Product Control Charts • Participate on teams tracking upstream process control charts • Maintain control charts on critical parameters of assigned products • Conduct process capability analyses and recommend improvements for parameters with low process capability metrics (Cpk, Ppk, Cp, etc.) • Participate on project teams and provide balance to Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Process. Be the quality advocate in process changeovers and process changes • Travel: frequent visits to local manufacturing partners or operations office
REQUIREMENTS: • 5 – 7 years of Quality Engineering experience supporting manufacturing process improvement across supply chains of materials, chemicals and process industries • BS or MS in Chemical/Electrical Engineering (or related field) • Demonstrated use of statistics and ability to conduct statistical analysis • Proficiency in JMP or Minitab Statistical SW • Understanding of the principles and application of SPC and SQC • Full knowledge of Quality tools: 8D, FMEA, Fishbone, Gauge R&R, etc. • Experience conducting internal audits • Familiarity with ISO-9001:2015 or other regulatory environment • Working experience in Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO-9001:2015 standard in a manufacturing operation, including direct experience in documentation control • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills • Excellent organization and time management skills
PREFERENCES: • Experience with Electro-Optical (EO) testing is a strong plus • ASQ CQE or Six Sigma certification

5 – 7 years of Quality Engineering experience supporting manufacturing process improvement across supply chains of materials, chemicals and process industries
BS or MS in Chemical/Electrical Engineering (or related field)
Demonstrated use of statistics and ability to conduct statistical analysis
Proficiency in JMP or Minitab Statistical SW
