Our Critical Infrastructure Protection group is a growing practice within Data Systems Analysts (DSA). We have had a breakthrough year and have forecasted more significant growth in 2022. We are seeking an experienced PI System Engineer to help our Department of Defense customer enhance their operations through a digital transformation. Our ideal candidate will leverage their engineering experience for problem solving, as well as leverage creative analysis to identify, develop, and deliver new benefits for our customers. The Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) practice is focused on energy management, advanced analytics, and cyber security. Our group supports various industries including universities, government agencies, utilities, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing facilities. As a system integration team, we are tasked with delivering value to the overall mission of our customer's organization. The majority of your time will be customer facing and project focused. As part of our project responsibilities you will be expected to understand operational technologies (OT) including Building Automation Systems (Client), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other 3rd party systems. You will also use analytics packages (Python, R, etc.,.) to design and deploy algorithms that identify improvement opportunities and non-standard asset and system operation. You will be expected to be a leader in terms of understanding and experience on the OSIsoft PI System and Server/Operating System maintenance practices.
Objectives of the Role • Project team member responsible for defining and documenting customer requirements • Translating customer requirements into project deliverables • Testing, supporting, and troubleshooting project deliverables • Candidates will be measured by their focus on customer success, ability to provide hands-on support and their ability to be part of a high performing team. Minimum Qualifications • US citizenship and residency • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar • 5+ years of professional work experience • 3+ years of OSIsoft PI System experience with Asset Framework, Asset Analytics and PI Vision • Experience with Server/OS maintenance (patching, etc.,) • Self-starter with an ability to multi-task and effectively work on a large number of projects simultaneously • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in the English language • Strong communication and analytical skills • Ability to pass background checks and work within a secure environment • Demonstrated ability to lead others in completing complex deliverables • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively, proven self-starter, and demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in the English language • Experience with Active Directory Security • Technical knowledge of networks, firewalls, OT-IT network segmentation, and related hardware and software.
