About the Role: W. L. Gore is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to join our Performance Solutions Division in Elkton, Maryland. This role may offer remote opportunities. This role requires a strong technical and analytical background coupled with excellent communication skills and understanding of the aerospace and space industry.
Providing quality interface for our customers, and own the relationship with the customer’s quality department to help ensure and increase customer satisfaction
Working with the customer to understand needs and expectations
Verifying and understanding quality issues, managing internal action plans and providing status updates to the customer
Supporting the business team in specification and purchase order review in regards of quality related customer requirements
Providing quality support in development projects such as developing product verification strategy with the customer, quality planning activities and quality assurance during test planning and validation
Managing and coordinate customer complaints along with other quality and engineering team members
Determining adequate containment activities in accordance with customer requirements
Guaranteeing the implementation of corrective actions and improvements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
A minimum of 5 years of industry experience with customer interaction
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply engineering fundamentals
Demonstrated understanding of ISO 9001 and comparable quality standards
Willing to travel up to 15% and participate in early morning or evening business calls
New product development and/or aerospace industry experience
Certified Quality Engineer or experience applying APQP practices
AS 9100 experience
