The Product Development Engineer (PDE) will have ownership of the Minnesota region They’re responsible for technical sales to the state DOT, businesses, state and local government, or any other entities that need geotechnical engineering services. As a PDE, there is no typical day. You will not be working behind a desk. You will be in the field, networking with your customers developing new projects, and building a book of business. The ownership you will take over your region is as close as you can come to “owning” a company without the financial and administrative headaches of owning a company. You will be compensated based on how well you build your business.
You will be attending trade shows, delivering papers on innovative geotechnical solutions you have created, and giving demonstrations for the various solutions the company has in its arsenal.
You will be on-site with your customers at the drop of a hat as we are a 24/7 emergency contractor, and you will win new projects and have unlimited earning potential.

Analyze local market to create and implement tailored project development strategies that increase sales to existing clients and develops new clients.
Attends and hosts client meetings, trade shows, sales meetings, and other miscellaneous industry-related events.
Challenges the status quo of the territory and industry, identifying new ways to improve the client experience.
Coordinates with Operations to provide clients with timely proposals.
Assists in the design of geotechnical solutions.
We seek an Engineer with a PE and a solid background selling geotechnical solutions to state and local governments, businesses, or the DOT.
Civil Engineering degree required with 8+ years of experience
Geotechnical engineering experience required
Solutions selling experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to make decisions and assessments quickly and accurately.
Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned geographical region.
Self-starter that can self-manage with little oversight.
Strong desire to develop their own book of business
Demonstrated technical expertise in specific functional area including standards, procedures, and applicable government/environmental regulations.
Operational knowledge of work and asset management and analytical/reporting applications.
Effective change leader with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate company and business area strategies and objectives to a variety of stakeholders.
Proven results at achieving performance and operational metrics and driving process adherence.
Telecommuting is allowed.
