A worldwide manufacturer of high-quality water treatment products in North County San Diego seeks a motivated candidate to fill a Quality Technician role. This position is temporary with the possibility of converting to regular, full-time employment. Under the Quality Supervisor’s direction, the Quality Technician will perform both day-to-day QA and QC tasks. This role is responsible for examining and testing production processes or completed products to ensure that products comply with its quality standards.
Essential Functions Include:
Conduct and document process and system audit using written procedures as audit standards.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinate and/or perform calibration of all measuring and test equipment. Monitor the status of all measuring and test equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration.
Participate in generating and/or revising procedures for the inspection function.
Assist with the Nonconforming and Corrective Action programs as required.
Understanding and adhering to the company's ISO 9001 & 14001 management systems.
Proficient in the use of precision metrology tooling and equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, etc.) to perform calibration of Measurement and Test Equipment (MTE).
Understanding and adhering to the company’s environmental, health, and safety requirements; this includes wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) when entering or working in designated areas where PPE is required. When known, report work-related illnesses or injuries immediately to Supervisor, even if minor.
Adhering to the company’s attendance policy, ensuring regular, reliable in-person attendance and punctuality is maintained.
Education: High school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent. Work Experience: 2-5 years of QA/QC experience. Certified Quality Technician is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications at the basic level: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Possesses technical aptitude, Able to use mechanical tooling (i.e., calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action.
Able to follow and understand work instructions in English.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess good follow-up skills.
