Huitt-Zollars, Inc. (formerly Hoskin Ryan Consultants) has a full-time Civil Engineer EIT opportunity. This role works collaboratively with other civil engineers under the direction of the project manager in a team environment providing engineering design for urban development projects. The successful candidate will have design and drafting experience in water, sewer, grading, drainage, paving, and utility projects. Produce design plans of underground utilities, paving, grading and utilities for multiple urban development project
Plan preparations of water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage plans
Assist project manager with of design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination
Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.
Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor
Conduct site visits and assist with documenting findings
Attend project meetings and assist with general project correspondence
Compose and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
EIT Arizona state registration or ability to obtain within 1 year
Minimum 2 years' of design and drafting experience
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to learn and apply HZ CAD standards
Proficient in storm water software: HEC-1, HEC-RAS, Storm CAD, ArcGIS
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of survey principles is a plus
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work over 40 hours if necessary
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desire to assume increased responsibilities when presented
