PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reports to Project Manager and oversees the flow of technical and administrative information between the construction job site, suppliers, subcontractors and divisional office utilizing established corporate guidelines and processes. The Office Engineer shall assist in the preparation of submittals, document control, meeting documentation, change cost data entry and quality documentation.
TYPICAL DUTIES: Obtain submittals from suppliers and subcontractors and process all submittals (technical data, samples, shop drawings, test reports and certifications) required by the Contract Documents between the Owner and the Contractor. Review submittals for compliance with the Contract Documents. Maintain records and minutes of job site meetings. Process weekly quantities for payment on unit price Subcontracts. Oversee jobsite purchases by assigning Purchase Orders to each purchase and verifying receipt of materials. Work with project manager to approve material invoice payments. Assist in preparing and updating project progress schedule. Ensure quality documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods). Ability to implement and follow Company policies, procedures and standards is essential. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills required.
