The Director of QC is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system. Working with our teams to drive effective quality control and quality assurance practices on a consistent basis.
Work proactively with leadership and staff to develop and implement quality system strategies that maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and safety
Serve as the subject matter expert on regulatory affairs and quality management systems
Provide leadership in system development throughout the quality management system
Serve as point person for regulatory inspections and audits and all audits
Serve as the main interface for all customer quality requirements
Work proactively with R&D team to plan, develop, and deliver products that satisfy customer needs.
Lead QC investigation and documentation.
Reviews all customer complaints with team and where necessary responds to the customer
When conditions require, travels to the customers plant to view the problems
Works with manufacturing to improve existing products and processes
Primary position of choice for ISO management representation
Other duties appropriate to position or as assigned by leadership
A 4 Year Degree in a Science, Engineering, Technical Field or equivalent is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading & directing QMS in a manufacturing environment
Experience developing and implementing quality systems to include performing audits
Knowledge of packaging business and ASQ certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years working closely with team(s), customers, suppliers, vendors, ISO 9001 & 1400
Excellent MS Office skills and strong understanding of ERP systems preferred
